Hey Guys, I just got my Electronics System, I'm extremely excited! I'm wondering though how come there are so many wires intertwined, anyone have an idea?!

Just got the most important component when planning to enter the Forced Induction Realm. Bought it for 1000$... my winter beater and second car for when the Eclipse can't make the cut.

90 000 miles 2000 Mazda Protege 1.6 L manual. Slower than a civic and worse at handling than an eclipse..Perfect for winter :)

HKS T Adapter for HKS SSQV and How to install

So I got an HKS SSQV blow off valve and the washer/c-clamp kit, needless to say it with the shape of the BOV it wasn't easy to install.
After a few attempts, I decided to go out and get the right tool to do it, this is how it's suppose to be done:

Image

Simply insert the ring on to the bottom of the BOV and make sure you apply enough pressure for the BOV to sit flush on the washer.
Image

Then use C-clamp tweezers to get the clamp in place

Image

Final product, with very little damage to the bov.

Just Got This:

Borla Exhaust Center-Offset & Oil Cap

Just took out the Eclipse!

I'll get more pictures but here is a few shots of the apartment block that was recently handed down to me and the car.

What the heck is this, I found it in the Ripp Blow off valve the HKS one simply blew off the mounting, luckily it didn't damage my hood. The hks completely through off my idle also.

Looks like that will be some fun on the car, good luck with the install.

Don't forget to tune either.

LOL "rev it.....higher........higher........one more......"

I actually bought this one in a pretty good condition. I use to have a nissan sentra 1989 as a winter beater. It broke down going to school in March. The CPU fried, so I had to buy the protege. My gf drives in the summer time and OOOHHH boy does she misuse it.

Why would you bump your own thread when you haven't posted anything in it?

noobs... I swear.

May be worth looking into the Zeitronix ZT2. Its what I have been using and am rather pleased with it. Don't recall it costing too much either... Actually, $270 but it logs much more than the AFR: Wide Band Air Fuel Ratio Meter

Worth a look anyway.

I use my ZT2 to view/log the following:
AFR
Boost (once SDS install is completed - also using an in cabin gauge to watch)
EGT (Requires an EGT probe but fairly cheap from Zeitronix)
Throttle Position
RPM

Side note: I also use a tactrix cable and EvoScan software to log EVERYTHING else. I mean everything. Any sensor/data the 3G ECU/ECM sees so does the Evoscan software. Also, the ZT2 data can be "patched" into the Evoscan software so that you can see it all on one screen or log it all to one file.

The only problem would be emplacement.
I wouldn't know where to put it.
I do not use the Zeitronix display unit. I have mine hooked up via serial/usb cable to a laptop/netbook (for now). I have a carputer installed and an touchscreen LCD molded into the stereo bezel and once the SDS has been tuned and I am comfortable not wacthing/logging the data everywhere I go then I will toss the laptop and just have the carputer display the ZT2 "gauges" on the stereo bezel LCD.

Without tearing up your stereo area or doing a lot of custom work using a netbook may be the best route... although the Zeitronix display unit would work fine as well I'd think.
